Bacharel em publicidade e marketing, Rodrigo Baumgartner Ayres se mudou para Nova York onde se pós-graduou em cinema pela New York Film Academy. Sua carreira de diretor teve início em 2014 quando seus primeiros curtas participaram de festivais locais de NYC. Em 2015 ele dirigiu seu primeiro longa-metragem chamado "Winter has no Sun", e também seu mais aclamado curta "Felices Acá en New York" (Happy Here in New York), que lhe concedeu seus primeiros prêmios. Em 2016 ele debutou no teatro com peças produzidas pelo Acting Studio de Nova York. Entre 2019 e 2024 Rodrigo trabalhou em São Paulo e completou muitos de seus curta-metragens, incluindo: “Not a Love Story”, “Gold and Girl”, “My Gift to You” e "The Wolves we Feed". Em 2025 Rodrigo se mudou para Porto Alegre, onde dá continuidade ao seu trabalho artístico.

A bachelor in advertising, Rodrigo Baumgartner Ayres moved to NYC in 2013 for a post-graduate program in filmmaking at the New York Film Academy. His directing career began when his first short films were accepted into local NYC festivals in 2014. Later in 2015 he directed his first feature film called "Winter Has No Sun", and also his most acclaimed short film "Felices Acá en New York" (Happy Here in New York), which was accepted into several NYC festivals and earned him his first awards. In 2016 he debuted on theatre, directing and writing short plays produced by the Acting Studio in NYC. Between 2019 and 2024, Rodrigo lived in São Paulo – Brazil, where he completed several short-films, including, “Not a Love Story”, “Gold and Girl”, “My Gift to You” and "The Wolves we Feed". In 2025 Rodrigo moved to Porto Alegre – Brazil, where he continues to further his artistic career.
